Luxury Rooted in Responsibility

We are proud to have been awarded RLI Sustainable Retailer of the Year 2025.
At Aranyani, sustainability is a commitment woven into every detail - from how we craft, to how we care for our artisans, our community, our store design, and the environment.
This recognition affirms our belief that luxury and responsibility can coexist in practice. We’re also proud to share that our Founder and Creative Director, Haresh M Mirpuri was highly commended in the Visionary Leader category, celebrating his unwavering commitment to sustainable, purpose-driven luxury.

Ethical Sourcing & Production
We use only leather that is a by-product of the food industry, never exotic and source exclusively from tanneries that practise water detoxification and recycling. Every production decision, from efficient cutting techniques to material selection, is made with the goal of achieving zero waste by 2026. We maintain fair, transparent relationships across our supply chain, with timely payments to all vendors.

Sustainable Store Design
Our Mayfair flagship is a physical embodiment of sustainable luxury. Built using locally sourced materials like British stone and Irish marble, the store design mimics a journey through a forest, with nature inspired lighting and elements. Even the cleaning products are 100% eco-friendly.

Craftsmanship and Heritage
Each Aranyani bag is a testament to traditional Indian artistry. Hand embroidery, gemstone setting, hand painting, and gold gilding come together in pieces made to last a lifetime. Our atelier in Bangalore preserves these skills through training and mentorship while integrating modern sustainability practices like solar panels, rainwater harvesting, and a plastic-free, low-carbon design.

Zero Waste Goals
We are firmly on track to becoming a zero-waste atelier. One key initiative is using bricks made from the earth excavated on-site to construct our atelier, reducing carbon emissions and saving up to 30% in energy. The space is powered in part by solar energy, incorporates rainwater harvesting, and is designed to operate with minimal environmental impact. We also reuse leather scraps and extend this circular mindset
into our product development, creating new pieces from excess materials without ever compromising on luxury.

Built to Last
Aranyani handbags are not seasonal accessories, they are investment pieces. We limit production to just 12,000 bags a year globally, focusing on heirloom quality and enduring value. From the 0.3-micron gold-plated fittings to the structural integrity of every stitch, our bags are made to be carried for generations.

Community & Positive Impact
2% of our revenue supports the Aranyani Education & Vocational Trust, funding the education of craftsmen’s children and others in the community. We provide medical insurance to all employees and regularly distribute monthly rations in partnership with local bodies. During the pandemic, we offered accommodation to craftsmen, supplied
oxygen concentrators to local hospitals, and contributed essential aid to relief efforts. Our commitment extends beyond the atelier, to creating lasting impact.
